As Vice President of Travel Mapping, Bill is responsible for all travel industry related projects at Spatial Graphics. His appointment to this position underscores his more than 20 years of experience in the cartographic field that began with R.R. Donnelley in 1987. Bill is passionate about superior customer service and creating products that exceed customer expectations. He is excited about the opportunity to bring these skills to his new company.

Before joining Spatial Graphics in 2005, Bill was Senior Manager of Cartographic Operations at MapQuest Publishing. There he had overall responsibility for a staff of 25 cartographers as well as continued project management responsibilities on key travel accounts, including Best Western International, The National Geographic Society, and State Farm Insurance.

Bill graduated from Penn State University with a B.S. degree in Geography. He enjoys traveling, skiing, reading and is a big Roman history buff. He resides in Dover, Pennsylvania, with his wife and many pets.

As a second-grader in 1963, Bob got a puppy for Christmas. He remembers the year because he also got a hot-off-the-press 1964 edition Rand McNally Road Atlas that holiday,

After completing a Master's degree in cartography from the University of Nebraska, Bob worked as a geographer at the U.S. Census Bureau and as a cartographic researcher at the National Geographic Society before joining R.R. Donnelley & Sons 19 years ago. His focus gradually shifted from cartographic production to research, layouts, and content, and he served as MapQuest's Managing Editor for 10 years before joining Spatial Graphics. While at MapQuest, Bob oversaw compilation of its first North American mapping database, produced the map layouts for Michelin's two North American road atlases, developed a paperless map-editing process, and coordinated the research and updating of all road atlases and related products. He also managed the editorial, library, and archiving staff in MapQuest's Digital Mapping Services division.

Kathy Kinney

Kathy has worked in the cartographic business her entire career. Starting with Donnelley Cartographic Services fresh out of college, she began her career as a manual cartographer building maps using scribe, peel coats, and type plates. Most recently she worked at MapQuest, where she was fortunate to hold diverse positions including Director of Product Management, Director of Business Development, and Sales Executive.  While Director of Product Management, Kathy helped to lead MapQuest in to the world of database-driven consumer atlases.  As Director of Business Development, she introduced MapQuest to wireless door-to-door directions applications on handheld devices.  Most recently, as a member of MapQuest's sales team, she successfully managed major accounts and relationships.

When not leading the Sales & Marketing Team at Spatial Graphics, you can probably find Kathy enjoying time with her daughter, Austin, or at a horse show with her horse, Ziprageous Lite.
